Elementary
The Zion Lutheran elementary school program is best characterized by its traditional academic emphasis on learning and critical thinking skills. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are taught core subjects in self-contained classrooms. The lower student/teacher ratio allows for effective interaction between student and teacher resulting in significant student achievement.
The faculty and staff consist of certified teachers and dedicated professionals committed to providing an environment that nurtures each student’s academic, physical and spiritual development.
Our teachers strive to offer a developmentally appropriate and challenging curriculum. We offer a hands-on curriculum that develops the creativity of each student and provides them with opportunities to expand their knowledge and enhance classroom learning. All children are encouraged to achieve their academic potential, explore their creativity and maximize their God-given abilities. Our elementary students move to our upper school levels well prepared to succeed in academics and athletics as well as contribute to the future of our school and community.
The elementary school curriculum emphasizes essential skills within
a traditional blend of core subjects enriched by additional specialty classes in the following areas:
Art, Music,
Computer,
Spanish,
Library,
Physical education.
